Goalie Pants Sizing and InformationGoalie pants protect the thigh and hips. They are definitely more bulky and protective than player pants. Goalies should be able to move without much restriction in their pants. To size for goal pants, add 6" to your actual waist size. Pants should cover all areas while still giving the goaltender protection and mobility. The bottom of the pants should rest just above the knee. When you drop to your knees, the pants will rise up, leaving the part above your knee unprotected (this is where knee-guards are useful). Try to minimize this area while still having a good fit.
